Well, today was my first day of work at Cengage. Overall, a definite success. I’m getting paid $2 dollars more than I was getting paid at Kohl’s to do something I like much more. Just touching the books feels right. And it’s a nice reminder that if I really wanted to, I could make a career out of this simple, entry-level job, one day. But, for now, I’m just putting them in boxes, and that’s okay with me. So much easier better than checking out customers in a dead-end job, selling people’s souls to Satan in the way of soliciting credit cards, and ultimately hating myself and my life at the end of the day. And this is a good start to a new me- hopefully, all of the running around I’ll be doing will keep me healthy and help me lose weight, and drive me to try harder in other things that I do.

Oprah’s last episode today… pretty inspiring. “Don’t waste any more time. Start embracing the life that is calling you, and use your life to serve the world.”
